“Murmurations” takes its inspiration from flocks of starlings in swarming flight and the hypnotic effect produced by random patterns.

Directly evolved from "Murmurations", the series of images for "Meditation" was first shown in Time Bubble, a Fotomoto group show curated by Fotomoto Co-Founder Stephanie Frondoso,  The work consisted of 16 large format prints ("Musings") each measuring 30” x 30”, with the full installation measuring 12’ x 12’. As abstract images are presented in random order, the mind is invited to “connect the dots”. The effect is pareidolic*, as the viewer begins to look inwardly and make personal connections to the work.

I’ve often described it as an attempt to induce conversation, an act of listening rather than showing.

Pareidolia (/ˌpærɪˈdoʊliə, ˌpɛər-/;[1] also US: /ˌpɛəraɪ-/)[2] is the tendency for perception to impose a meaningful interpretation on a nebulous stimulus, usually visual, so that one detects an object, pattern, or meaning where there is none.
